QUALITY – WHY CHOOSE ARBCORE

Tree surgery is a highly skilled profession, our qualified tree surgeons have been trained to:
• undertake tree work in a safe manner
• improve the health and safety of individual trees and plants
• comply with applicable law (protection of certain trees, wildlife and habitat)
• keep the customer’s property intact

Amateur or novice workers who are unfamiliar with the correct cutting and climbing techniques may do irreparable damage to a tree, they may cause it to die or to become a safety hazard.
Cuts made badly may result in damaged property: think greenhouses, conservatories, cars and roofs.
Failure to check whether individual trees are protected or within a conservation area, or have protected wildlife amongst or in them, may result in unnecessary damage and legal action.

Tree surgery is amongst the most dangerous professions in the UK; research into accidents in the UK shows that during the last 10 years 24 tree surgeons/arborists have been killed during tree work and nearly 1,400 have suffered an injury.
The key cause of these accidents are chainsaws, falls from height or being struck by falling timber / trees, many of these are due to non-compliance with health and safety regulations.

In short, tree work carried out by unqualified, inexperienced and uninsured individuals can quite easily end up in disaster for both the tree surgeon and/or the customer. Local authorities can hold a customer liable for illegally carried out tree work and customers may face additional costs for the necessary remedial tree works and for repairs to property. Their home may even become the scene of an medical emergency in the case of an injury.
